The Standard Winter Features on a 2027 Nissan Murano, From De-Icer to Heated Rear Seats

Winter tests a crossover in small, daily ways. Iced-over wipers, frozen washer nozzles, cold seats in the back row and slick roads on the way to work all add up over a long season.

The 2027 Nissan Murano answers many of those problems with standard equipment. The lineup comes in two grades, Dark Armor and Platinum, and both share a long list of cold-weather features from the windshield to the rear seats. This guide lays out what you get on each grade, so you can compare them with confidence.

Clear Glass From the First Minute

Good visibility is the first job on a winter morning. Both 2027 Murano grades include a wiper de-icer and heated washer nozzles as standard equipment.

The de-icer helps free the wipers from ice, and heated nozzles help keep washer fluid flowing when temperatures drop. Variable intermittent, speed-sensitive front wipers and a hidden rear wiper round out the setup. The Platinum also adds rain-sensing wipers, which switch on as snow or rain hits the glass.

On the Dark Armor, the power-adjustable outside mirrors are heated, which helps you get a clearer view behind you on frosty mornings.

Warm Seats in Both Rows

Heated front seats are standard on every 2027 Murano, along with a TailorFit-wrapped heated steering wheel. That covers the driver and front passenger from the moment you set off.

The back row is covered too. Heated rear seats are standard on both grades, so passengers behind you are not left waiting for the cabin to warm up. Rear floor heat ducts and rear centre console vents help move warm air to the second row.

The Platinum adds ventilated and massaging front seats with 4-way power lumbar support and semi-aniline leather-appointed upholstery, while the Dark Armor uses leatherette-appointed seats.

Start It Before You Step Outside

Both grades include the Nissan Intelligent Key with Remote Engine Start. You can start the engine from a distance and let the cabin begin warming before you head out the door.

Every 2027 Murano also includes NissanConnect Services with a 1-year Premium Package trial and a 5-year Select Package trial. That service adds remote engine start and door lock and unlock from the MyNISSAN app, along with Automatic Collision Notification and Emergency Call.

Traction for Snowy Roads

Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard on both grades. New for 2027, Nissan has added a Snow mode to the drive mode selector on every Murano, giving you a dedicated setting for slippery conditions.

Power comes from a 2.0 L 4-cylinder VC-Turbo engine rated at 241 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Easy-Fill Tire Alert, LED headlights and permanent auto headlights are standard too, helpful details on short, dark winter days.

Here are the winter traction and safety features every 2027 Murano shares:

  • Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
  • Snow mode, new for 2027 on all grades
  • Vehicle Dynamic Control and 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System
  • Automatic Emergency Braking with obstruction detection

Dark Armor or Platinum: Which Fits Your Winter?

Since the core winter features are standard on both grades, your choice comes down to comfort and style.

The Dark Armor gives you the full winter package: de-icer, heated washer nozzles, heated seats in both rows, a heated steering wheel, remote start, Intelligent AWD and Snow mode. It adds heated power-adjustable mirrors, gloss black 21-inch wheels and sport-type bumpers for a darker, sportier look.

The Platinum keeps all of that and adds rain-sensing wipers, ventilated and massaging front seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel with memory, rear door sunshades and power-folding outside mirrors with memory.

Both ride on P255/50R21 all-season tires, so plan your winter tire setup with the same care on either grade.
