2024 Nissan Z NISMO Unveiled: Precision Performance Upgraded

The automotive landscape sees an evolution as Nissan introduces its Z NISMO for 2024, a meticulously reengineered version of the Z, intending to elevate the driving experience with precision and dynamism.

Boosted Performance Capabilities

The Z NISMO takes center stage with its enhanced twin-turbo engine that proudly boasts 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. This remarkable increase, 20 hp and 34 lb-ft more than its standard Z counterparts, is achieved through a series of upgrades. Techniques from the iconic GT-R NISMO inspire an independent ignition spark timing strategy, combined with revised electronic wastegate control and improved cooling. For the enthusiasts craving sustained track performance, an enhanced engine oil cooler comes standard.

NISMO-Exclusive Aerodynamics and Design

Function meets form with the exterior revisions to Z NISMO, tailored for enhanced aerodynamic performance. The standout feature is the "Grand-Nose" or "G-Nose," reminiscent of the classic Nissan Fairlady 240ZG. This unique design, paired with a restyled grille featuring a delicate honeycomb mesh, promises reduced drag while ensuring sufficient engine bay cooling. The rear sees a three-piece spoiler that subtly integrates into the rear fenders, reminiscent of GT-R NISMO. The Z NISMO also showcases exclusive hues, including the NISMO-only Stealth Grey, combined with dark metallic gray katana-blade styling elements and 19-inch gloss-black Rays wheels.

Interior Refinement

Step inside the Z NISMO, and the enhancements continue. A racing-inspired steering wheel features a distinctive red marker at 12 o'clock. Red anodized buttons for engine start and drive mode selection add a touch of sportiness. NISMO's unique character is evident with Recaro seats wrapped in leather and Alcantara, embodying both luxury and performance.

Track-Ready Enhancements

This model has been optimized for the track. Engineers have refined every suspension element, from unique stabilizer bars to retuned dampers. Aiming for precision, the setup promises "one-shot" steering, allowing drivers to navigate turns with minimal adjustments. The Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT600 tires provide superior traction, especially when cornering at high speeds. The NISMO-specific, lightweight wheels offer an added advantage. Further aiding performance are comprehensive chassis revisions, including stiffening measures, which result in a 2.5% increase in torsional rigidity compared to other Z grades. To ensure reliable braking even under extreme conditions, the Z NISMO features larger rotors and a performance-focused brake pad compound.

Nissan has announced that the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO will be available for purchase this fall, with pricing details to be released in due time. As Nissan continues to cater to varying driving styles with the Sport and Performance grades of the Nissan Z, the NISMO's reintroduction promises a heightened experience for those seeking amplified performance, precision, and style.
